The FACC is pleased to announce that Ambassador Bonnie McElveen-Hunter has enthusiastically accepted the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Florida chapter’s invitation to be the Guest Speaker at the Finnish Independence Day Celebration on December 6, 2023.

Ambassador McElveen-Hunter was appointed by George W. Bush the US Ambassador to Finland and served from 2001 to 2003.  Since that time the situation both in Finland and in Europe has changed dramatically.  The Ambassador has recently returned from Helsinki where she met with President Sauli Niinistö and other dignitaries so we can expect to hear her inside perspective of the new situation.

The FACC welcomes all Finns and Finnish Organizations in Florida to unite and attend the most important event of the year for all Finns.

Ticket price includes admission, Champagne toast, a selection of hors d'oeuvres, 3-course dinner, and a glass of wine. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening, from which other beverages may be purchased.
