Greetings from Florida, the Sunshine State
What do Finland and Florida have in common?
Besides both having thousands of lakes in their landscape, many of the cruise ships born in Finland end up docking in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. This creates vibrant business relationships between
the two regions, in addition to other business such as real estate, insurance, business and corporate law, technology, education, banking and finance and many more industries.
It is my privilege as a Finnish American to serve as the first President of our newly established Finnish American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Florida chapter. FACC has an impressive 60 years of
history in the United States. With that comes a steady network of people in other chambers with their knowledge and experience that we can tap into together with our local knowledge and passion to
create a forum for all Floridians to network with other business people interested in developing their relationships with Finland, Finnish corporations or just getting better connected.
At FACC-FL, we thrive to foster the business interests between Finland and United States, by creating a forum for business people to participate, share their ideas and most of all getting
involved.

When I moved to Florida from Seattle, I was reminded of the power of network and how time consuming it can be for any new arrival to create the much needed circle of influence or reliable network connections. I took this position to help you get connected, whether you are a new arrival or been around for some time. I welcome you to join me in developing a network community that will benefit both you and your company.
Lena Hartikainen, President
Finnish American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Florida Chapter
